Based on previous information regarding the aging and safety assessment of plastic products, the lifespan of plastic products can be effectively extended from three dimensions: material selection at the source, daily use, and scientific storage.
Material Selection Optimization: Prioritize weather-resistant products with added compliant antioxidants and light stabilizers. For outdoor applications, choose aging-resistant materials such as AS and PC to slow down the aging process from the basics.
Daily Use Protection: Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight to reduce UV damage to the molecular chains; keep away from strong acids, alkalis, oils, and other corrosive substances; avoid wiping with strong abrasive cleaners; reduce mechanical stress from prolonged overload and repeated bending to prevent micro-cracks.
Scientific Storage and Maintenance: Store products in a cool, dry place, avoiding high temperature and high humidity environments; store different types of plastic products separately to avoid scratching each other; clean regularly with a mild detergent; some types can be treated with a dedicated plastic conditioner to form a protective film.
