Laser Cutting is Non-Contact and Contamination-Free

 

Medical devices like stents, catheters, and surgical blades need fine cutting without burrs or heat affected zones. Hayi Technology's medical laser cutting service uses fiber or ultraviolet lasers. We cut stainless steel, nitinol, and polymer materials. Kerf width can be as small as 0.05mm. Heat affected zone is ≤0.02mm. For example, a heart stent company needed to cut a nitinol tube of diameter 2mm with wall thickness 0.1mm. We used a UV laser to cut 0.08mm wide slots with no burrs. The client passed the fatigue test. This case shows laser cutting is the first choice for minimally invasive devices. Our MOQ is 1 piece.

UV Laser and Water Cooling Protect the Material

We use nanosecond or picosecond UV lasers (355nm wavelength) with water cooling nozzles to reduce thermal damage. We can cut stainless steel (304, 316L), nitinol, cobalt chrome, PEEK, and PTFE. Cutting accuracy is ±0.01mm. Cutting is done in a clean environment. We hold ISO9001:2015 certification. Each part is inspected with a microscope for cut quality and heat affected zone size. Before packing, we do 100% full inspection. We also accept third-party inspection. Our medical laser cutting service is fast for prototyping.
