How To Determine The Safety Of A Plastic Product

Check Key Labels: Prioritize products with a triangular recycling symbol at the bottom with a number: Choose products with number 5 (PP) or compliant grade 7 (PPSU, Tritan) for food contact applications. Avoid products made of grade 3 PVC or non-food grade PC for ingestion.

Verify Compliance Labels: Food contact products must be marked with "Food Use" and have the QS/SC mark, complying with GB 4806 series national standards. Avoid products without any compliance labels.

Auxiliary Sensory Inspection: Products with no pungent odor, a smooth surface without cracks or deformation, and a uniform color without impurities are safer. Discard any aged plastic products that are yellowed or brittle.

Match Usage Scenarios: Strictly adhere to the material's temperature tolerance. For example, do not fill grade 1 PET bottles with hot water, and remove ordinary cling film before heating to avoid exceeding temperature limits or exceeding usage scenarios that may release harmful substances.
