Core Environmental Parameters
Temperature Requirements: The general storage temperature should be controlled between 15-25℃. For precision measuring tools, the temperature can be kept stable at 18-25℃. Avoid drastic temperature differences to prevent condensation and corrosion.
Humidity Requirements: The relative humidity should be stably controlled between 30%-60%. For high-precision parts, this can be reduced to 30%-40% RH to prevent oxidation from the source.
Environmental Cleanliness: Keep away from corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts. Avoid dust and oil contamination. Use a closed, dry, dedicated warehouse for storage if possible.
Standard Stacking Requirements
Elevate the bottom of the parts with wooden blocks or supports at least 10cm above the ground to ensure ventilation and prevent moisture from the ground.
Store different metal materials separately. Avoid direct contact between carbon steel and stainless steel to prevent galvanic corrosion. Leave a ventilation gap of at least 5cm.
Protection and Daily
Management Before storage, clean the surface to remove oil and water. For long-term storage, apply a special rust-preventive oil and seal with vapor phase rust-preventive paper.
Establish an inspection mechanism, conducting routine inspections once a week, and every 2-3 days during the rainy season. Implement a "first-in, first-out" requisition system to reduce the risk of accumulated rust.
